The staff were very amiable and extremely helpful and an absolute pleasure. Enjoyed our rooms with the balcony. The service was good and the food was outstanding.

It has great and beautiful location right next to Portuguese Museum. The rooms are new-fashioned, the staff is so very polite.

Ideal hotel, the stay was absolutely amazing, MAGNIFICENT location to everything in old town Colonia. The room was comfortable and with nice beds. Climate control, a private safe and multi-channel TV were important for us. The property was located in the middle of the city.

I absolutely loved my stay at this delightful small hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality by the staff. The room I stayed in was spacious, light, and impeccably clean. The views from the dining room and garden were breathtaking, especially during sunset. The food at the hotel restaurant was incredibly delicious, with the steak and lamb being the standout dishes. I also appreciated the option to rent an electric car to explore the town, which was a fun and affordable way to see everything. I had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

One minor drawback was that the hotel didn't have many vegetarian options on their bistro menu. Additionally, the paste we ordered was overly sweet and lacked seasoning.

Spacious rooms with a nice big balcony, taken care of by the helpful staff. The price was a bit high at $405, but worth it for what you get. The spot was just amazing, super close to a cool lighthouse that's worth a visit 🌅.

charco hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. from the friendly and professional staff to the beautiful historic building, it was a wonderful stay. the restaurant was top-notch and the hotel's location in the UNESCO zone was perfect for exploring the city's history. definitely one of the best hotels we've stayed at in uruguay.

I recently stayed at a charming hotel that truly captured the essence of its historic building. The rooms were stunning and filled with lovely quirks, such as funky antique doors and handles. The staff were absolutely lovely, and it was clear that they took pride in their role. The location of this hotel was also fantastic, situated on the banks of a beautiful river with gorgeous sunset views. The restaurant, overlooking the water, offered a fabulous dining experience. Additionally, the hotel had well-maintained landscaped gardens, creating a peaceful atmosphere throughout the property. I also appreciated the balcony that came with my room, providing a relaxing space to enjoy a beverage or simply take in the surroundings. Lastly, the breakfast offered a wide range of options to suit every Western taste.
